Which Plastic Surgery Procedures Will Be Popular in 2022?

What is one thing that can make you look and feel renewed? Plastic surgery, of course! The idea of getting plastic surgery isn’t anything new, but what will be different about it in 2022? Like every year, the trends will change. And while we cannot perfectly forecast them, we can make an educated guess. So, which procedures are likely to reign supreme in 2022?
    Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery has become incredibly popular since the pandemic thanks to the Zoom Boom. During eyelid surgery, the upper and/or lower lids are altered to create a more youthful look. Although it is not always necessary, sometimes blepharoplasty or an upper lid lift is performed in combination with ptosis repair (which corrects drooping). It can also be done as part of facial rejuvenation after massive weight loss.
    Facelift
Another surgery that has taken off due to the renewed focus on the face is the facelift. A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that improves the appearance of facial wrinkles and sagging skin. It can be done on its own or in combination with other procedures such as a neck lift or brow lift. This procedure was big throughout 2021 and will continue to be in 2022.
    Neck Lift
Working from home has made tech neck a bigger problem than ever. Neck lifts are often performed in conjunction with a facelift or brow lift. This procedure tightens the muscles in the neck, removes excess fat and skin to give an improved contour of the jaw line, chin and throat.
    Brow Lift
Many people have been noticing the “angry 11s” between their brows, as well as sagginess and lines. A brow lift is performed for three main reasons: To correct drooping eyebrows that can cause eyes to look tired or sad, to smooth away the deep furrows that often appear between the eyebrows and to reduce the size of skin lesions above the eyes. So it knocks out multiple concerns in one go!
    Liposuction
Body contouring is always popular in the world of plastic surgery. Liposuction is a procedure used to remove unwanted deposits of fat from specific areas of the body. In most cases, it is used on the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs and knees.
    Breast Augmentation
This is the procedure that has almost always topped the charts for the most in-demand plastic surgery for women. Breast augmentation is a surgery to increase the size of the breasts. It can be done with implants or with fat from another part of the body (fat grafting).
    Tummy Tuck
Due to more flexibility with office jobs, many people are opting to fix issues with their muscles and skin. A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgery to remove excess fat and skin, tighten the abdominal muscles and create a more toned appearance.
    Butt Lift
A butt lift is also known as gluteoplasty. It can be done for both cosmetic or reconstructive reasons depending on how it will benefit the patient. It usually involves the removal of excess skin and fat and the reinforcement of the underlying tissues to give a more youthful appearance.
While these are just some of the most popular procedures in 2022, there are many others that will continue to be in demand. So whatever your reason for considering plastic surgery, make sure you do your research and find the best surgeon for you. Trust us, it will be worth it!
